MARKETPLACE ROUND-UP

          TEAMS: Over 250 Burger King stores in the NY, NJ & CT
     tri-state area have joined the Yankees and the MLBPA to
     offer a limited-edition set of officially licensed World
     Champion Yankees trading cards.  A new 9-card set, including
     two coupons, will be offered for $.99 with a Value Meal
     purchase each week for the three-week period beginning April
     19.  CT-based Ostern Sports Marketing Group developed and
     produced the promo for Burger King (Burger King)....Pepsi
     One will title sponsor the Browns' Draft Day Party on April
     17 at the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland (Browns). 
          OTHER NOTES: Pistons G Jerry Stackhouse and Fila
     unveiled a new basketball shoe Tuesday.  The Stack IV is "a
     white shoe with black and gray swirls" (DETROIT FREE PRESS,
     3/31)....adidas America will sponsor the USA men's
     volleyball team through the 2000 Summer Games in Sydney (USA
     Volleyball)....The CFL has enlisted the services of
     marketing and communications company ESI Canada to help the
     league's sponsorship sales efforts (CFL)...Senior PGA Tour
     player Chi Chi Rodriguez has signed a lifetime deal to play
     Orlimar clubs (Orlimar).  Rodriguez "split" with Callaway
     last summer "after a long" relationship, and he played the
     rest of last season "without a club deal" (GOLFWEEK, 3/27).
