REDS-RUM! REDS-RUM! IS DOLAN DEAL FOR SCHOTT'S SHARES DEAD?

          Cleveland attorney Larry Dolan's bid to buy Reds
     President & CEO Marge Schott's controlling interest in the
     team could "depend on forging a deal with the team's limited
     partners," and, to that extent, he has had "recent
     conversations" with minority partner Carl Lindner, according
     to sources of Geoff Hobson of the CINCINNATI ENQUIRER. 
     However, "insiders don't think it will be enough" to prevent
     Lindner and others from matching Dolan's $65M offer for
     Schott's 5.5 shares and controlling interest in the team. 
     Hobson writes that while Dolan's deal "is in trouble,
     apparently he is still trying to put something together." 
     Dolan's "trump card" would be possibly forming "a new
     partnership" with the limited partners, which could result
     in "a democratic style of governing the Reds."  Decisions
     would go to a partnership vote, with day-to-day matters
     approved by a smaller group (CINCINNATI ENQUIRER, 3/31).
