GOLF NOTES: World Golf Village Exec Dir Ruffin Beckwith "expects March to be our best month yet." The World Golf Village originally expected to draw 1 million visitors its first year, but "backed off" that projection, and now puts the number at 420,000 first-year visitors (FLORIDA TIMES- UNION, 3/1)....The ACE Group Classic Senior PGA Tour event in Naples, FL, was the first with new marketing firm and tournament manager, Advantage Int'l, new title sponsor, the ACE Group, and new charity, the YMCA of Collier County (FL). Weekend attendance was 51,400 (NAPLES DAILY NEWS, 3/1).
