BARRON'S FEATURES THE GOLF INDUSTRY IN CURRENT ISSUE

BARRON's Cover Story this week, "Investing in Golf,"
features multiple reports on the state of the industry.
Robin Goldwyn Blumenthal profiles The Golf Channel and
writes that co-Founders Arnold Palmer and Joseph Gibbs "are
glad they made the gamble" of investing in the net, as it
"first turned a profit last year." Estimates show that
TGC's revenues "grew 80% last year," to $61M, and "this year
could jump" to $80M or more. Gibbs also said that selling
merchandise on the air and starting another niche channel
are possibilities for the future (BARRON'S, 3/29).
