The T-Wolves will increase ticket prices for the '99-
2000 season by an average of 3.83%, according to Robbi
Pickeral of the ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS. On average, single-
game tickets will cost about $2 more than this season, while
season tickets will increase by about $1 per game. T-Wolves
President Rob Moor: "We understand that, for families,
ticket prices can be high. But there are a number of ways
throughout the year to get reduced-price tickets [through]
group sales, sponsor promotions ... and there are $10
tickets available." The NBA-mandated $10 "cheap seats"
located in the upper level of the Target Center are the only
ones whose prices will stay the same. Also included in the
repricing plan are season tickets that will be reduced next
season, including $17 seats that will be sold for $15 and
$23 seats that will drop to $22. Moor said the team would
like to increase its season-ticket base from around 10,000
this year to around 16,000 next year (PIONEER PRESS, 3/23).
FROM A FORMER CUB: Nets G Stephon Marbury, on T-Wolves
VP Kevin McHale: "I understand the frustration of building a
team and then, all of a sudden, you have it dismantled. He
looked like the best GM in the world, and now it makes him
look like the worst GM in the world" (STAR TRIBUNE, 3/23).
