     college student protests of "universities' supposed
     involvement with overseas sweat shops."  From the editorial:
     "Working conditions in poor countries may be appalling by
     Western standards.  But to millions of Third World laborers,
     the so-called sweat shops represent new --  and better --
     employment opportunities than they have had in the past. ...
     It is a sign of good times in the United States that
     students can find nothing more weighty than Third World
