          Bob McNair, leading the effort to bring an expansion
     team to Houston, said on KRIV-TV in Houston that NFL owners
     are split on where to place a 32nd franchise: "Right now,
     there are not enough votes for Los Angeles, and there are
     not enough votes for Houston" (Mult., 2/26)....THE HOCKEY
     NEWS released its 6th annual minor league hockey logo
     rankings, and named the IHL Chicago Wolves as the first-ever
     repeat winner because not only is their logo "a smashing
     design with a fierce life-like green-eyed canine, it's also
     totally hip."  The IHL had nine of the top 20 logos, with
     five in the Top 10 (THN, 2/26 issue)....Ottawa Mayor Jim
     Watson said that the provincial government "should
     reimburse" Senators Owner Rod Bryden for the money he's paid
     toward a highway interchange near the Corel Centre (OTTAWA
     CITIZEN, 2/26)....FL-based copier distributor Danka, which
     is being sued by the Devil Rays for $150,000 in sponsorship
     fees and a missed luxury suite payment, is also "wrangling
     with both" the Bucs and Lightning "over how to get out of
     its suite and sponsorship agreements" with those teams (ST.
     PETE TIMES, 2/26)....In MN, Sid Hartman reports that St.
     Paul Saints co-Owners Mike Veeck and Bill Murray "have
     decided not to sell the Saints" (STAR TRIBUNE, 2/26)....The
     Tigers have sold 8,000 season-tickets so far this year, 30%
     more than a year ago (DETROIT NEWS, 2/26).

Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s VP of Programming and Acquisitions Tim Reed as the NFL Draft gets set to kick off on Thursday night in Motown.
