PACERS TICKET PRICES AT CONSECO WILL GO EASY ON THE WALLET

Though the average Pacers ticket price at the new
Conseco Fieldhouse will increase more than 10% next season,
the team "will more than double" the number of tickets it
offers for $20 or less, according to Sean Horgan of the
INDIANAPOLIS STAR-NEWS. The new price plan includes more
than twice as many $10 seats at the 18,500-seat facility.
Pacers President Donnie Walsh said that the Pacers were able
to "increase significantly" the number of tickets under $20
due to their "success in attracting corporate sponsorships"
and selling out of the 65 suites and 2,400 club seats at
Conseco. The new pricing policy has 1,280 seats costing
$10, compared to 606 at Market Square Arena, and the team
will reserve 500 of those for sale on a per game basis. The
number of tickets priced at $20 or less will rise to 4,716
from 2,183, meaning 26.7% of the available 17,600 seats
outside the suites will cost $20 or less (STAR-NEWS, 2/24).
