SPORTS BUSINESS DALEY: MAYOR CONTINUES TO IRK MCCASKEY

Chicago Mayor Richard Daley took a shot at Bears
President Michael McCaskey yesterday for his handling of the
"fiasco" where Dave McGinnis turned down the team's head
coaching job on Friday, according to Fran Spielman of the
CHICAGO SUN-TIMES. Daley: "I think McGinnis would be great.
The last time you asked me (Friday), I gave you that answer.
I thought I'd praise him, and then I found out Saturday
morning or Sunday that they changed it." Commenting on the
Bears' stadium situation, Daley said he has yet to hear from
McCaskey about renewing the team's Soldier Field lease,
which is up after next season. More Daley: "I guess they
were really busy. Really busy." When asked if he knew of
any high school stadiums the Bears could play in, Daley
responded, "Could they fill it?" (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 1/27).
