DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH IN CHARLOTTE, NC

          Jefferson-Pilot Sports, Inc. seeks a Director of
     Research for the ACC and SEC Regional Collegiate Sports
     Networks, supporting a seven member sales staff based in
     Charlotte, N.C.  The successful candidate will act as
     primary Nielsen contact.  He/she should have a complete
     understanding of local television ratings analyses and
     sources and a general knowledge of national broadcast, cable
     and syndication ratings and sources.  Position includes
     active role in sales process, development of sales promotion
     materials and client-specific sales strategies.  Position
     will direct preparation of detailed post-analyses and
     provide research support for station clearance efforts. 
     Compensation includes salary plus commission.  Candidates
     must possess Lotus 123 and/or Excel, Word and/or
     WordPerfect, PowerPoint, PageMaker and general knowledge of
