          The Greater Milwaukee Open inked new sponsorship deals
     with Kraft Foods and Aurora Health Care for the '99 event. 
     The deals allow the tournament to boost its purse by
     $500,000 to $2.3M (GMO).  In Milwaukee, Gary D'Amato reports
     that the deals do not require the GMO to change its name
     (JOURNAL SENTINEL, 1/21)....In a move that analysts see "as
     an inexpensive way ... to raise its brand image among
     younger buyers and in Europe," Toyota Motor announced its
     plans to join the Formula 1 circuit in 2002 or 2003
     (FINANCIAL TIMES, 1/22)....The IRL's Team Xtreme has reached
     a sponsorship deal with Internet companies Lycos and
     pcsave.com for the '99 season.  Rookie driver John
     Hollansworth, Jr. will make his IRL debut at this weekends
     Indy 200 in FL (SPEEDNET, 1/20).
