SALOMON MIGRATING NORTH: SALOMON N.A. MOVING TO OREGON

          Salomon, a division of adidas AG, will move its
     Georgetown, MA-based North American subsidiary into offices
     adjacent to adidas America in Beaverton, OR, according to
     Jeff Manning of the Portland OREGONIAN.  The two companies
     will "integrate warehousing, finance, logistics, legal and
     information services and customer service functions."  The
     move, which should be completed by September '99, "should
     net the area about 90 jobs."  Salomon N.A. President Steve
     Bagby "predicted" that the company will retain 40 to 50 of
     its employees and will "fill another 30-odd positions,
     primarily in marketing and customer service functions," once
     the move to OR is complete (Portland OREGONIAN, 1/22).
