FACILITY NOTES

          The Quebec government has "no plans" to tear down the
     "problem-plagued" Olympic Stadium.  Olympic Installations
     Board Cabinet Minister Louise Harel: "We shouldn't throw out
     the baby with the bath water.  We shouldn't throw out the
     roof with the (torn) panel" (Montreal GAZETTE, 1/21).
     ...Nassau County exec Thomas Gulotta met with Isles and NHL
     execs yesterday and announced "tremendous progress" on plans
     to replace Nassau Coliseum with a new sports complex.  The
     talks included Gulotta, Isles co-Owners Steven Gluckstern
     and Edward Milstein, Isles President David Seldin and NHL
     Commissioner Gary Bettman.  Howard Milstein was not at the
     meeting (N.Y. TIMES, 1/21)....Orlando Arena manager Bill
     Becker projects as much as a 50% drop in profits from Magic
     games, depending on attendance, bringing the net profit down
     from the $600,000 it earns from the team in concessions,
     parking and rent to $300,000 (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 1/21).
