METS EYE WAYS TO PAY THE PIAZZA MAN? CREATE NEW SEAT PLAN

The Mets "boosted" ticket prices throughout Shea
Stadium and introduced "a ritzy new section behind home
plate where high rollers will pay up to $150 for a prime
seat with waiter service," according to Madden & Hutchinson
of the N.Y. DAILY NEWS. Seats in the first two rows of the
new section will cost $150, and the remaining three rows
will be priced at $100 per game. The price of the Mets
"best regular seats" goes from $35 to $45, and includes wait
service. Inner field and inner loge boxes will jump from
$24 to $30; mezzanine, outer field and outer loges go from
$21 to $25; and the back rows of loge and mezzanine reserved
seats go from $9 to $10 (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 1/20).
CARDS HOLD THE LINE: For the fourth straight year, the
NFL Cardinals "have decided not to raise ticket prices."
The decision comes four months before the proposed Rio
Salado Stadium project goes on the ballot in the Mesa,
Gilbert and Queen Creek areas (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 1/20)
