          Samsung announced that IMG will represent Se Ri Pak.
     IMG will split 30% of the profits from Pak's endorsement
     deals with her corporate sponsor, Samsung (AP, 1/15). 
          OTHER NOTES: CA-based Intrawest has bought 50% of Blue
     Mountain Resorts in Ontario, which attracts about 380,000
     skier visits a year (TORONTO SUN, 1/15)....A mutual fund
     "dedicated to companies associated with the golfing
     industry," called Value Trend Links Fund, has been
     established.  Ross Provence is Portfolio Manager of the CA-
     based fund (S.D. UNION-TRIBUNE, 1/12)....Heavyweight boxer
     Michael Grant, who is represented by N.Y.-based Park Avenue
     Productions, signed an endorsement and appearance deal with
     OH-based urban-apparel maker Zero Casualties.  The deal is
     through the first quarter of '99 and will include his
     January 30 fight on HBO.  Grant will appear in the company's
     ads in Vibe and The Source (Park Avenue Productions). 
     ...Chicago-based IMS will handle endorsement representation
     for former Cubs SS/1B Ernie Banks (IMS).
