EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          Nike Dir of Broadcast Production PETER FRIEDMAN has
     resigned to become N.Y.-based ad agency McCann-Erickson Dir
     of Broadcast Production (ADWEEK, 12/14)....Former Philip
     Morris Kraft unit President JAMES CRAIGIE was named
     President & CEO of MA-based Spalding Sports.  He replaces
     KEVIN MARTIN (BRANDWEEK, 12/14 issue)....CHUCK MURR has
     returned to the NPSL as Dir of Media Relations.  Murr
     previously held the position from '95 through '97 (NPSL).
     ...Gateway Int'l Raceway named DENNIS WOERNER as Dir of
     Sales & Marketing.  Woerner spent six years as Dir of Sales
     at Six Flags in St. Louis and replaces TIM SCHUER, who
     joined A-B to oversee its sponsorship programs on the
     Winston Cup circuit (INDIANAPOLIS STAR-NEWS, 12/12)....JOHN
     DIERKES was named Palace Sports & Entertainment VP/Suite
     Sales and will oversee suite sales and services for the
     Pistons, Shock and Vipers and the premium seating program at
     the Palace (The Palace)....Former ABL VP/Sponsorship MARTY
     ROLNICK has joined Washington-based D&F Group as VP & Dir of
     New Media, and will be based out of N.Y. (BRANDWEEK, 12/14).
