NOTES: CBS's national NFL telecast, which featured Chiefs-Broncos in 63% of the country, was up 29% from NBC's comparable doubleheader last season. CBS's NFL average of 10.1/23 is even with NBC's numbers from '97....Fox's NFL telecasts are averaging a 10.9/25, up 1% from last season. ...ABC's Big 12 Championship saw a 23% ratings gain from last season's 6.0/13 for Nebraska-Texas A&M, while the WAC game saw a 33% drop and the SEC game saw a 1% decrease (THE DAILY)....CBC's "Hockey Night in Canada" is averaging 1.8 million viewers for its Saturday doubleheader, an "amazing" 27%, or 350,000 viewers, increase over last year (TORONTO STAR, 12/11)....A breakdown of the CBC's audience of 3.06 million viewers for the Grey Cup shows that it drew a 34 share, compared to 29 in '97; 970,000 women ages 18+ watched the game, up from 780,000 in '97; Ontario and Quebec viewers accounted for 49% of the audience (GLOBE & MAIL, 12/11).
