          NFL: Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones "will provide a
     Thanksgiving meal" for Vikings Owner Red McCombs and his
     family, who will sit in a luxury box at Texas Stadium for
     Thursday's Vikings-Cowboys game.  McCombs: "I'm convinced he
     (Jones) won't be trying to poison me" (PIONEER PRESS, 11/25)
     ....In Chicago, Rick Telander writes that Bears President
     Michael McCaskey "has not brought this city a winner, has
     not been able to get along well enough with Mayor Daley or
     any [IL] governor to build a new stadium, has not displayed
     any light at the end of the tunnel" (SUN-TIMES, 11/25).
          NOTES: Joe Buzas signed a letter of agreement to sell
     the Class AA New Britain [CT] Rock Cats after the '99 season
     to CT attorney Coleman Levy and NYC attorney William Dowling
     for $7.5M (HARTFORD COURANT, 11/25)....Former Bears Walter
     Payton and Matt Suhey "are seeking" an AFL team to play in
     Chicago's Rosemont Horizon in 2000 (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 11/25). 
     ...Approximately 150,000 entries were received for the
     Mariners' '99 Safeco Field Inaugural Game ticket lottery
     (Mariners)....The MLS Rapids announced that ticket prices
     will remain unchanged for the '99 season (Rapids).
