BILLS CLOSE TO GOAL THAT WILL KEEP THE TEAM IN BUFFALO

The Bills and Business Backs the Bills Committee said
that the team "passed" the $10M figure in sales of luxury
boxes and club seats, according to Gene Warner of the
BUFFALO NEWS. The team has sold 4,932 outdoor club seats
and selling the "roughly 1,900 remaining" club seats and six
remaining luxury boxes "would bring the total" sales to
$11M. Reaching the $11M goal by December 1 would "trigger
the state's release" of $63.25M to renovate Bills Stadium.
Business Backs the Bills Committee Chair Erland Kailbourne
said that the team has to sell 100 seats per day to reach
the figure, but sources said that the Bills "privately have
indicated" that they would stay in Buffalo if sales reached
$10.3M. As signs of the team's intent to stay, Warner
writes that "the bidding process is moving along" on the
renovation project, as construction packages have "been sent
to potential bidders" (BUFFALO NEWS, 11/11).
