          MLB: Tricon Global Restaurants' Pizza Hut, Dallas, will
     use Mariners OF Ken Griffey in a four-week promo around its
     Sicilian pizza (AD AGE, 10,12).....N.Y.-based J. Walter
     Thompson "retooled part of its Lipton Brisk iced tea
     campaign to capitalize" on the MLB playoffs and World
     Series.  The Claymation Babe Ruth now will declare "with
     this stuff, I could have hit 80" (AD AGE, 10/11). 
          OTHER NOTE: In Nashville, Harold Huggins wrote that the
     women's Legends tennis tour is "ending its sponsorship with
     Virginia Slims at the end of the year, and there may not
     even be a Legends tour next year."  Women's Sports Legends
     President Pam Shriver: "It's difficult to line up a
     sponsorship with a tobacco company.  We're hoping to land
     one elsewhere" (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 10/12).
