THE DAILY/FOX SPORTS-TMG POLL: MICHAEL WILL BE MISSED

Over 40% of those surveyed by THE DAILY and the Fox Sports/TMG poll say they are not interested in attending NBA games after Michael Jordan retires, while 35% said they are not interested in watching the NBA on TV after Jordan retires. The numbers show that the NBA's "premiere" fans are loyal, but there is greater uncertainty among regular fans and the rest of the population. The Fox Sports/TMG poll surveyed 1,133 U.S. and Canadian residents, ages 12+, in August '98. "NBA premier fans": 265 respondents with interest in NBA 5 out of 5. "NBA fans": 666 respondents with interest in NBA 3 out of 5 (THE DAILY).
