A record 103,500 fans turned out for the NASCAR Exide 400 Sunday in Richmond, VA. Another record 58,000 also attended the Busch Series race the night before (RICHMOND TIMES-DISPATCH, 9/14)....An announced crowd of 14,600 for Sunday's final round of the Joe Morgan Celebrity Golf Classic in Sacramento, CA, brought total attendance for the first-year event to 41,800 (SACRAMENTO BEE, 9/14)....The seventh annual baseball Players Choice Awards will be held October 30 at Disney's Wide World of Sports. For the first time, the event will have five days of related activities, all open to the public (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 9/17).
