     complaints from animal rights group PETA (USA TODAY, 8/27).
     ...In Boston, Chris Reidy profiles Timberland's foray into
     the beige shoe market and writes that Nike has been "toying"
     with versions of a beige shoe, with the "goal to create a
     shoe as comfortable and lightweight as a sneaker but sturdy
     enough for rugged terrain" (BOSTON GLOBE, 8/27).  
     ...Australian national soccer team captain Alex Tobin has
     retained Marquee Australia, a division of NY-based The
     Marquee Group, to represent him in all marketing and
