LOOK OUT BELOW! TWO MORE VIKES EMPLOYEES GET WALKING PAPERS

The Vikings' "office purge continued" Monday, as team
Security Dir Stephen Rollins and Muffy Baron, the secretary
of former team President/CEO Roger Headrick, "were fired in
moves authorized by new president Gary Woods," according to
Don Banks of the Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE. Vikings
VP/Administration & Team Operations Jeff Diamond "carried
out the firings, which bring the team's total of forced
resignations/firings to four in the five-day Red McCombs
era." Both Rollins and Baron said that Diamond told them
they were being dismissed for their part in helping Headrick
break into his old office Saturday after Woods authorized a
change of locks late Friday. Rollins: "I was in Carolina
with the team. So how did I do that?" Baron: "It was
because of my association with Roger. They said it was for
aiding and abetting Roger breaking into his office on
Saturday. It was totally unjustified" (STAR TRIBUNE, 8/25).
