     the film "There's Something About Mary" was supposed to go
     to STEVE YOUNG, but King writes that Young refused the part
     because the movie "was gross," and "it was rated R, and
     that's not in keeping with his Mormon lifestyle" (CNN/SI.
     com, 8/21)....MIKE TYSON has received a $10M offer, not
     counting TV money, to fight in Lagos, Nigeria (N.Y. DAILY
     NEWS, 8/21)....DARRYL STRAWBERRY, on the $100,000 suit filed
     by his former attorney ROBERT SHAPIRO, who claimed he wasn't
     paid for negotiating a contract settlement with the Dodgers
     in '94: "Shapiro had nothing to do with those negotiations,
     so why should I pay him anything?" (HARTFORD COURANT, 8/21).
