          Women's Pro Fastpitch named interim President JOHN
     CARROLL as its Commissioner.  Carroll will focus on
     marketing, sponsorship and expansion of the league.  Carroll
     had served as President & CMO of ProServ (WPF)....Broncos
     VP/Business Operations DAVID WASS resigned yesterday,
     effective August 28 (DENVER POST, 8/14)....The Nets named
     PHIL WILLIAMS VP/Brand Development.  Williams, who has
     served as the NBA's Eastern Regional Sales Development &
     Marketing Manager for 18 months, will oversee the team's
     merchandising department (Nets)....The IHL promoted
     Communications Manager JIM ANDERSON to Dir of Communications
     (IHL)....Columbia Sportswear promoted National Sales Manager
     BOB MASIN to the new position of Dir of Sales &
     Merchandising, and promoted JIM LUKICH to National Sales
     Manager (Columbia).....DON TUPPER has joined ProServ
     Consulting as an Account Exec.  He comes from Clarion Sports
     & Entertainment (ProServ)....Dolphins Dir of Player Programs
     E.J. JUNIOR has been dismissed by the team.  The team is
     searching for a replacement (MIAMI HERALD, 8/14).
