THE LAMBEAU BOARDROOM: PACKED HOUSE AT SHAREHOLDERS MEETING

The Packers transformed Lambeau Field into a "one-of-a-
kind boardroom" yesterday, as a crowd of 18,707, most having
purchased $200 shares of stock during the teams' recent
offering, attended the outdoor shareholders meeting,
according to Bob McGinn of the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL.
The shareholders, who were permitted to bring a guest, heard
eight committee reports from a stage set up in the vicinity
of the Packers' bench, and then participated in a 55-minute
Q&A session (Bob McGinn, MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 7/9).
STAMPED: In Milwaukee, Jessica McCuan reports that
nearly 500,000 votes were cast nationwide "for the Packers
in a contest held by the U.S. Postal Service to come up with
the most memorable events of the 1960s." A Packers stamp
will now be one of 15 events or symbols of the '60s depicted
on a postage stamp next year (JOURNAL SENTINEL, 7/9).
