THE LONG & SHORT OF IT: HOWIE RE-UPS WITH FOX FOR FIVE YEARS

          Howie Long signed a new five-year deal with Fox Sports
     to continue as an analyst on Fox's NFL pregame show, "Fox
     NFL Sunday," according to Josef Adalian of DAILY VARIETY. 
     Long's deal was handled by ICM's Jack Gilardi and Andy Reif.
     Long, who joined Fox Sports in '93, is currently under
     separate three-picture development deals with Fox's film
     division and Morgan Creek Productions (DAILY VARIETY, 7/30).
