     GROENING said he has asked Murdoch to make a cameo (DAILY
     VARIETY, 7/23)...Five-time Olympic gold medalist BONNIE
     BLAIR gave birth to her first child, a baby boy named GRANT,
     on Sunday night (Advantage)....Following a court ruling that
     Alberta Treasury Branches was entitled to launch
     receivership proceedings against two of PETER POCKLINGTON's
     companies, the former NHL Oilers Owner said he is planning
     on "leaving Edmonton and moving to the United States where
     they love and respect entrepreneurs" (EDMONTON SUN, 7/23).
