              In Boston, Will McDonough reported that the Red Sox are
         awaiting a final report from consulting company Arthur
         Andersen on the economic feasibility of a new Fenway Park. 
         If the report says the team can use their own money to build
         it and still make a profit, "that's what the team will do." 
         The Red Sox expect to announce their plans "closer to the
         end of the season" (BOSTON GLOBE, 6/27)....CT Gov. John
         Rowland has told "friends and acquaintances privately, with
         an air of confidence" that he believes the odds of the
         Patriots building a new stadium in CT are "nearly 50-50"
         (HARTFORD COURANT, 6/28)....The 93 luxury suites at the
         Pepsi Center, set to open in October '99, have already been
         leased in five- to 10-year commitments.  The suites will
         generate about $12.55M a year in revenue, 93.5% of which
         will go to Ascent Entertainment and 6.5% to Ascent's
         partner, Liberty Media (CO Springs GAZETTE-TELEGRAPH, 6/30).
         ...In St. Paul, Charley Walters wrote that the NHL Wild's
         new arena could be named the Northern States Power Center or
         US West Center (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 6/28)....Hurricanes
         Owner Peter Karmanos has agreed to lead a private fund-
         raising effort to build a 7,000-seat, $20-25M arena at Wayne
         State Univ (CRAIN'S DETROIT BUSINESS, 6/15 issue).
