          Three "humorous commercials" for Nike aimed at young
     skateboarders, by CA-based Goodby, Silverstein & Partners,
     won the Grand Prix top honor at the 45th annual Int'l
     Advertising Festival in Cannes, France (N.Y. TIMES, 6/29).
     ...Sponsorship Information Services (SiS) announced the
     opening of offices in Asia.  Located in Singapore, SiS will
     service global companies and Asian based clients (SiS).
          BOWLING FOR DOLLARS: The Gator Bowl received a four-
     year title sponsorship extension from Toyota (FL TIMES-
     UNION, 6/28)....In Boston, Howard Manly called AT&T's
     presenting sponsorship deal with the Rose Bowl "the latest
     sellout."  Tournament of Roses Chair Harriman Cronk: "I
     don't feel that AT&T is out of step with what we want.  We
     asked that it be like The Masters brought to you by
     Cadillac, something like that.  I feel it will be done that
     way" (BOSTON GLOBE, 6/28)....Venus and Serena Williams were
     interviewed by NBC's Dick Enberg and Chris Evert during the
     net's Wimbledon coverage on Sunday.  Serena wore a gold Puma
     necklace during the interview (NBC, 6/28).
