SPORTSFAN SETS UP TRAINING WHEELS FOR ATHLETES EYEING RADIO

          SportsFan Enterprises, which runs SportsFan Radio
     Network, teamed with Players Communication Network to
     develop the SportsFan ProPlayer Network, which is "designed
     to create a breeding ground for future radio sports
     personalities," according to John Merli of BROADCASTING &
     CABLE.  A series of SFPPN "broadcast schools" are planned in
     the next year to provide trainees "intensive media training
     in preparation for their postplaying careers" (B&C, 6/8).
