          In N.Y., Robin Finn reports that MARY PIERCE was
     wearing a diamond ring on her left hand yesterday at the
     French Open, "reportedly an engagement gift" from ROBERTO
     ALOMAR (N.Y. TIMES, 5/29)....NBA Hall of Famer CALVIN MURPHY
     "has lost his job as Houston's youth athletic director,"
     after he was accused of filing time sheets that claimed he
     was working for the city, including overtime, on days he was
     out of town for his job as a commentator on Rockets
     broadcasts (USA TODAY, 5/29)....In Italy, SILVIO BERLUSCONI,
     the former Italian Premier who owns AC Milan, was indicted
     yesterday on charges that he falsified books registering the
     '92 transfer of star player GIANLUIGI LENTINI to his club. 
     In addition to the $10.5M fee for Lentini's transfer,
     prosecutors said the team paid an unreported $46M that was
     deposited in a bank in Switzerland.  Berlusconi denied the
     charges (N.Y. TIMES, 5/29)....WNBA Mercury GM/coach CHERYL
     MILLER said four championship basketball rings, $900 in cash
     and a VCR, a total value of $9,000 -- was stolen yesterday
     from her Phoenix apartment (AZ REPUBLIC, 5/29)....ARNOLD
     SCHWARZENEGGER may be the first guest on MAGIC JOHNSON's
     "The Magic Hour" (Liz Smith, N.Y. POST, 5/29).

NBC Olympics’ Molly Solomon, ESPN’s P.K. Subban, the Masters and more
