WAHOO ON WALL STREET? INDIANS IPO COULD HIT NEXT WEEK

Indians stock could go on sale "as early as Wednesday,
according to the lead underwriter at Cleveland-based
McDonald & Co. Securities," who is cited by Mary Vanac of
the AKRON BEACON JOURNAL. The stock, which will be sold for
$14-16 a share, will be assigned a specific price the day
before the sale begins, and shares will trade on NASDAQ
under "CLEV." Vanac reports that the IPO could raise
between $54M-62M, "most of which would pay" Indians Owner
Richard Jacobs for the public's share of the team (AKRON
BEACON JOURNAL, 5/29). In Cleveland, Bill Lubinger reports
that the Indians hope to sell 4.6 million shares of stock,
raising as much as $64.2M (Cleveland PLAIN DEALER, 5/29).
IPO: The NPSL Milwaukee Wave is preparing a private
stock offering to sell a minority interest in the team,
which hopes to raise between $1-$5M to help broadcast away
games and expand other marketing efforts (THE DAILY).
