WILL IT BE A WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS AFTER ALL?
Published May 18, 1998
The Walt Disney Co. is "kicking around ideas" for a
fifth Central FL theme park, "possibly with a sports theme,"
that may be built in the next decade, according to Cory
Lancaster of the ORLANDO SENTINEL. A sports-themed park
"would tie in with" Disney's Wide World of Sports, the 200-
acre sports complex which opened last year. However, Disney
execs "aren't revealing much" about their plan. Walt Disney
Attractions President Judson Green: "We have a couple ideas
-- and one of them is sports" (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 5/16).
