ESPN CHILTON SPORTS POLL: DOING THE BOX SCORE SHUFFLE

          ESPN Chilton Sports Poll interviewed 6,297 sports fans,
     ages 12+, during '96 and '97.  They were asked, "Do you like
     to check results from games and sporting events?"  The

NOTES: From '96 to '97, more females are checking results from games and sporting events. The sharpest increase in age groups is among those 35-44 and 55+. Those earning an annual income of $20,000-$49,999 and $150,000+ are the only groups who do not show an increase from '96 to '97 in checking results from games and sporting events. -30-
