EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          SANDI DEAN has been named Assistant Director of
     Marketing for the Professional Baseball Promotion Corp.
     (PBPC), a subsidiary of NAPBL.  STEVE DENSA was named
     Assistant to the Dir of Media Relations at the PBPC (NAPBL).
     ...BILL NIENSTEDT has been named Local Sales Manager at Fox
     Sports Detroit.  He was previously an account exec at WIDV-
     TV, Detroit (FSD)....Former Toronto Globe & Mail sports
     editor DAVID LANGFORD will become the sports editor at the
     London Free Press (Toronto GLOBE & MAIL, 4/30)....Ascent
     Sports announced the following moves: PAUL ANDREWS was
     appointed VP/Ticket Sales & Operations.  TAMARA MCMILLAN was
     promoted to Community Funds Manager.  LESLIE ATKINSON was
     named Community Relations Assistant (Ascent).....At Westwood
     One, NY, CBS Radio Sports Producer HOWARD DENEROFF expands
     his duties to include coordination of play-by-play events
     and on-site NFL broadcasts; AL SMITH will handle in-house
     production for the '98 college/NFL football seasons; TAMI
     BOOTH joins as Senior District Dir, Affiliate Relations,
     Western Region; and JOHN CLARK was named Senior District
     Dir, Affiliate Relations, South Central region (BROADCASTING
     & CABLE, 4/27 issue).  KEVIN MCCARRON, former Editor of the
     syndicated The George Michael Sports Machine, joins Westwood
     One as Sports Producer (MEDIAWEEK, 4/27 issue).

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth. Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s VP of Programming and Acquisitions Tim Reed as the NFL Draft gets set to kick off on Thursday night in Motown.
