          NFL Sunday Ticket has introduced "Extra," a monthly
     series of special programming that will be offered year-
     round.  "Extra" features an hour-long NFL program each
     month, and is available to '98 Sunday Ticket subscribers at
     no additional charge.  For other DirecTV subscribers, the
     show is free during April and $1.99 on a PPV basis May
     through December of this year (NFLE)....In N.Y., Steve
     Zipay, on the Angels' five ESPN appearances thus far this
     season: "This corporate paternalism is getting ridiculous"
     (NEWSDAY, 4/28)....CA-based Petersen Co. has acquired the
     InLine Publications of Sports & Fitness Publishing.  Titles
     now owned by Petersen include InLine, InLine Retailer &
     Industry News, Gravity, and InLine Hockey (AD AGE, 4/28).
