COREL CENTRE SHUFFLES UPPER-LEVELS IN THE NAME OF EFFICIENCY
Published April 15, 1998
"Several key positions have been eliminated in a shuffle at the Corel Centre in the name of efficiency," according to Stuart McCarthy of the OTTAWA SUN. ROY MLAKAR, who had been the Ogden Entertainment-picked President of the Senators, became President & CEO of both the team and the Corel Centre. CYRIL LEEDER goes from being President of Palladium Corp. the building entity which runs the Corel Centre, to COO of the Corel Centre under Mlakar. STEVE VIOLETTA becomes Exec VP of the Senators, handling day-to- day management. Also, Ogden's Dir of Entertainment ROGER NEWTON, Guest Services Dir DAVE DACRES, CFO CHRIS ST. GERMAIN, and Ogden Marketing Managers NATALIE COURTENAY & MICHAEL HAMILTON, "have all been told their positions are redundant May 15" (Stuart McCarthy, OTTAWA SUN, 4/15).
