WHERE THE WILD THINGS PLAY? ST. PAUL ARENA BILL STILL ALIVE

A record capital improvement bill that includes $65M
for a hockey arena in St. Paul was approved yesterday by a
"key" House committee, and is headed for debate by the full
House, "probably today," according to Whereatt & Weiner of
the Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE. The inclusion of money for
the arena "keeps the issue alive, and contentious." The
Senate passed its capital improvement bill without funding
for the arena and Senate Majority Leader Roger Moe "said
Wednesday it's going to stay that way" (STAR TRIBUNE, 3/12).
