EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          The Padres extended the contract of GM KEVIN TOWERS
     through the '99 season, with a club option for 2000 (S.D.
     UNION-TRIBUNE, 3/9)....GREG BRODSKY was named VP/Marketing
     for MSG Network and Fox Sports NY.  Brodsky comes from
     Warner Bros. Domestic Pay-TV, Cable & Network Features where
     he served as Dir of Advertising, Publicity and Promotions
     (MSG)....GRAEME AGARS was named VP/PR for the ATP Tour. 
     Agars has spent the last 18 years as a reporter (ATP).
     ...Converse named REBECCA BULLARD Dir of Human Resources. 
     Bullard comes from International Jenson, Inc, where she
     served as Human Resources Manager (Converse)....JEFF GERWITZ
     joins the LPGA as General Counsel.  He comes from the WTA
     Tour, where he advised on legal and business affairs (LPGA).
     ...RICK BAEDEKER was named the Acting VP/Marketing for the
     National Thoroughbred Racing Association (BRANDWEEK, 3/9).
     ...Patriots VP/PR & Community Relations DON LOWERY has been
     appointed VP/Player Development & Community Affairs.  Lowery
     will be responsible for the management of the team's current
     player programs and continue to oversee the franchise's
     community relations operations.  Also in Boston, Nick
     Cafardo reports that Patriots RB CURTIS MARTIN has "dumped"
     his agent GUS SUNSERI and hired EUGENE PARKER (BOSTON GLOBE,
     3/10)....The Saints extended the contract of TERRY O'NEIL,
     the team's Salary Cap Consultant, through the '99 season
     (Saints)....MATT O'TOOLE, VP/Sales for TearDrop Golf Co.,
     "added marketing responsibility following the departure" of
     VP/Marketing JOHN KRZYNOWEK (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 3/10).
