KEVIN ELSTER TO STAR IN SPECIALS FROM L.A. PRODUCTION GROUP

          KEVIN ELSTER has signed a multi-year deal with L.A.-
     based Wayne Hanks Productions (WHP) to host a series of non-
     sports TV specials entitled "Giant Step: With Kevin Elster"
     (WHP).  WHP Production Manager STEVE HARBISON told THE DAILY
     that the shows will be "concept specials."  Elster was 
     chosen after producers saw his work in "Little Big League,"
     a '94 Castle Rock/Columbia release.  WHP will film six two-
     hour specials, each with a $3.3M budget, and it is currently
     in talks with two "major" nets about picking up the specials
     for the February, May and November '99 sweeps (THE DAILY).
