FACILITY NOTES

          Heat President/Business Operations Jay Cross said the
     Heat, whose lease expires after this season, and Miami Arena
     "aren't close" to a new deal.  In Miami, Barry Jackson
     writes that "one point of contention is whether the Heat
     will continue to retain revenue" from in-stadium ads (MIAMI
     HERALD, 2/10)....Metro Nashville next spring will build the
     Centennial SportsPlex, a new $6.5M practice facility for the
     Predators (NASHVILLE BANNER, 2/9)....Dublin, OH, voters will
     vote today on whether the city should participate in a plan
     with the Hunt Sports Group to develop a $26M stadium for the
     MLS Crew (COLUMBUS DISPATCH, 2/8)....In Boston, Will
     McDonough wrote that the Red Sox "will never agree to a
     renovated Fenway Park.  Anything you read, hear, or see on
     TV about renovation is bull" (BOSTON GLOBE, 2/8).
