          Pittsburgh Mayor Tom Murphy said that he and Allegheny
     County commissioners will present their "Plan B" for
     financing new stadiums for the Steelers and Pirates late
     this month or in early February.  The Urban Redevelopment
     Authority is already planning to acquire land for the new
     stadiums (Pittsburgh TRIBUNE-REVIEW, 1/5)....The Univ. of MD
     is close to completing negotiations with the MD Stadium
     Authority to play an October 31 home game next football
     season at the Ravens' new stadium.  The school would get
     approximately $800,000 before expenses (Baltimore SUN, 1/6).
