TERPS WILL GET $800,000 TO PLAY GAME AT RAVENS' NEW STADIUM
Published January 16, 1998
The MD Stadium Authority finalized details yesterday to pay the Univ. of MD $800,000 to move the Terps' October 31 football game against GA Tech to the Ravens' new stadium, according to Christian Ewell of the Baltimore SUN. The authority "will receive the money from the Ravens," who promote all events at the stadium under the terms of their contract with the authority. In other news, the authority approved the lease of land adjacent to the new football stadium that will provide 437 parking spaces. It will receive all revenues from parking at the lot for Orioles and Ravens games, plus half of the weekday revenues (SUN, 1/16).
