OUTSIDE MAGAZINE THE LATEST IN WOMEN'S SPORTS PUBLICATIONS

          Outside Magazine will launch a women's version this
     fall, according to Keith Kelly of the N.Y. DAILY NEWS. 
     Parent company Mariah Media said Women Outside will debut
     with a 225,000-copy test issue this September.  Outside
     Publisher Scott Parmelee said the magazine "already has
     attracted" advertisers Nike and Evian spring water.  Outside
     Creative Dir Susan Casey and Senior Editor Laura Hohnhold
     will co-edit the new unit.  Casey said Women Outside will
     also be looking for new writers (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 1/15).
