Cablevision Systems acquired Radio City Productions, which operates Radio City Music Hall (RCMH), from the Rockefeller Group in a deal valued at $400M. Cablevision plans to spend another $25M renovating RCMH into a digital TV production center (Leslie Cauley, WALL STREET JOURNAL, 12/4). MSG President Dave Checketts will oversee RCHM (N.Y. POST, 12/4). Cablevision took out full-page ads in the three N.Y dailies, the Wall Street Journal and USA Today welcoming RCMH to its "entertainment family" (THE DAILY).
