The Nike Tour, "unable to attract enough corporate sponsors," will not return to Philadelphia in '98. The tournaments were operated locally by Allegheny Health, Education & Research Foundation (AHERF). AHERF Exec Dir Mary Ann Saleski: "It was a hard sell in a major city with a lot of other professional sports. The sense is that the Nike Tour is a good thing in a smaller market" (PHILA.
