ADAM SILVER CONTINUES RISE UP NBA RANKS AT NBA ENTERTAINMENT

          ADAM SILVER was named President & COO of NBA
     Entertainment (NBAE).  Silver, who joined the NBA in '92 as
     Special Assistant to the Commissioner, had most recently
     served as Senior VP/NBAE (NBAE).  Silver has "plans to
     further build upon the work" at NBAE: "First we want [to]
     create additional programming, which includes a kids'
     program that is perhaps animated, as well as create a late-
     night program that is either shown on HBO or sold in
     syndication" (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 12/2).  Also at NBAE,
     GREGG WINIK has assumed the responsibilities as Exec
     Producer.  He is now VP/Programming & Broadcasting and Exec
     Producer for that division (NBA Entertainment).
