NOTES: Payouts are minimum per team, and are from USA TODAY. AXA/Equitable has a multi-year deal with the Liberty Bowl. The Citrus Bowl has two title sponsors: CompUSA and the FL Dept. of Citrus Commission. Each of them signed five-year extensions that will carry through 2002. Nokia has a three-year option to renew after the '98 Sugar Bowl. The Las Vegas Bowl is sponsored by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. Poulan/Weed Eater will not sponsor the Independence Bowl after this year. Chick-Fil-A's deal with the Peach Bowl is a multi-year deal. Toyota and the Gator Bowl have renewed their partnership for four additional years beginning in '99. This is the second year of Norwest's title sponsorship of the Sun Bowl, and negotiations are underway for a future deal (THE DAILY).
